I am still having issues with the pressreader website so haven’t read the paper in days but this came through on Venture Southland’s event email.

National Day of Action !!

Join Oil Free Southland with participating in Banners on The Beach day of action all over New Zealand.

We are having a family get together in Bluff on February 15th, 2014 from 11 am onwards with guest speakers at midday.

Bring your banners, family, friends and your lunch to Bluff – the beach opposite Henderson Street & the dairy, behind the sea lion barrier.

We will have information for those who want it and a guest speaker or two.

On beaches all over the South Island of our wonderful country there are like minded people taking a stand to say “no thanks” to Deep Sea Oil, Deep Sea Gas, and Sea Bed Mining.

It’s part of being a New Zealander to be closely associated with the ocean and it’s in our best interest, and that of future generations, that we make sure we keep NZ as pure and clean as we can.

There are other alternatives available when it comes to energy and fuel, let us be the world leaders in showing the rest of the world what it really means to BE GREEN 🙂

They mustn’t realise it is called Morrison’s Beach.

Is that the beach opposite the place with the light always on? maybe pay to get someone to throw a brick at it as you dont want people thinking we are wasting our resources when they are protesting.

Got something to say?
