The Express

22 Nov

It seems the Southland Express has many references to the oyster festival this week.  It is mentioned in the Bluff Service Centre story and again in the Hotel Not Registered story.  Didn’t I point this out over eighteen months ago? lol

The Bluff Oyster and Food Festival Trust has put in an offer to buy the hotel with a view to demolishing it and building covered areas for festival stall›holders, as well as an outdoor stage and car parks.

Close but no cigar.  The statement ‘has put in’ indicates something has been signed.

The Mayoral Moments column has Tim discussing his visit to Rarotonga.  It closes with the comment that he would return.  No surprises I suppose, his new directorship on Invercargill Airport will easily cover an annual holiday with ample pocket money too.
