Letters To The Editor

18 Oct

I have other work to do but thought I’d make the letters from today and yesterday available.  As Phillip T pointed out we have a letter from the Soper’s.  Funny isn’t it?  I’m not into cycling and only heard the name Mike Barnett when reading about the Partner Programme and now here he is the very next day being mentioned.  The type of arrangement they raise is all too similar in Southland.  One letter from today talks about how wonderful the Times is….really?  Yesterday had corrections and again today.  The corrections are becoming so regular that they should add a rider to all article – all information is supplied on the basis that it is read in conjunction with tomorrows corrections.

If what is stated is true heads should role. But down in good old Southland he will probably get an award for initiative.

    Some well meant gentle advice.

This is a good time for you to take a break and consider your own political future if that is the direction you intend to pursue and I for one hope you will be a Candidate in the next Local Body Election lists.

Your interest and research abilities are diverse and it may be time for you to focus on oe or two outside areas of Local Body governance, look for present councillors who share your views and then feed those councillors alone with your research and propositions for betterment.

PS my comment should read …one or two [areas]at the outside.

That is a good recipe for effecting change and getting you closer to the Council tables next time.

Your research skills are too valuable to be lost in cyber space.

Got something to say?
