Maybe Council Do Have A Sense Of Humour

26 Nov

Council claim they are managing their conflicts but maybe it was their type of humour?  In light of the Don and Deveron Street car park debacle here is a Companies Office report of directorships and shareholdings for Norman Elder.

One hundred and twenty five results, twelve pages (maybe ICC don’t make the conflicts register widely available to save paper) and while I appreciate Elder will hold director roles as part of being a commercial lawyer, I would think shareholdings are different.

A few are struck off companies and many are AWS trust companies but who knew he was the shareholder of AWS Legal?  I sure as hell didn’t.

I think Calder Stewart features in shareholdings as well…

The benefits of your shareholder/lawyer being head of CBD upgrade and a councillor – how else do Calder Stewart get their inside information?
Interesting how many times the Stewart’s names and Elder’s feature together on companies.govt.nz

Got something to say?
